Sexuality is a critical component for all age groups, including the aged. Even as physiological changes affect the sexual health of the aged, they are interested in sexual activities, which enhance their well-being. The main objective of the study was to assess the sexual health of the aged in selected communities in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The study was guided by the biopsychosocial model and employed quantitative methods. An interview schedule was used to collect data from 817 respondents. The data was analysed using the chi-square test and binary multiple logistic regression. Findings from the multiple logistic regression indicate that the aged who are not in union (AOR=0.020, 95% CI=0.005, 0.078, p<0.05) had lower odds of good sexual health. Also, the aged who reported being unemployed (AOR=0.359, 95% CI=0.145, 0.888, p<0.05) were less likely to have good sexual health. In addition, the aged 70-74 years (AOR=0.091, 95% CI=0.021, 0.392, p<0.05) had a lower likelihood of having good sexual health. It was observed that the likelihood of having good sexual health among the aged who have been diagnosed with two or more types of chronic illness (AOR=0.318, 95% CI=0.116, 0.870, p<0.05) was lower. The aged who are depressed (AOR=0.080, 95% CI=0.011, 0.604, p<0.05) were less likely to have good health compared to those aged with depression. Neglecting the socioeconomic, biological/physiological, and psychological factors that contribute to sexual inactivity, sexual dissatisfaction, and sexual dysfunction of the aged can lead to poor sexual health outcomes. A comprehensive approach to addressing sexual health is essential for promoting healthy ageing and ensuring fulfilling sexual lives.
