| dc.description.abstract | The study examined sustainable project management practices and sustainable performance of real estate firms in Ghana: the role of institutional quality. The study used a descriptive research design and a quantitative research approach. Relying on the system and institutional theories, data from 123 real estate firms were gathered using structured questionnaires and analyzed with frequencies, means, standard deviation, and partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). A stratified random sampling technique was used to determine the sample size. The study showed that resource management, lifecycle orientation, and stakeholder engagement positively impacted sustainable performance. It was also found that institutional quality does not moderate the relationships that resource management, lifecycle orientation, and stakeholder engagement have with sustainable performance. It was recommended that real estate firms in Ghana should prioritize and invest in robust resource management practices, adopt a comprehensive life cycleoriented approach, and actively involve stakeholders in decision-making processes, sustainability initiatives, and corporate strategies. | |
