| dc.description.abstract | This thesis does not belong to me alone, but also to the people who I am fortunate to have in my life. I am blessed to have family, friends and an amazing community who have all helped me along the way to completing this degree. Thank you all for your love and support. There are a few people in particular, who have influenced the completion ofthis project that I must pay special tribute. Firstly, I thank the Almighty God for the gift of life and for all that I was able to do. It has been by grace! I am greatly indebted to my supervisors; Dr. (Mrs.) Theresah Patrine Addai-Mununkum (Principal Supervisor) and Dr. Rogers Asempasah (Co-Supervisor) for the constant and invaluable support, inspiration, and attention throughout the process. Your amazing intellect and worldview helped me take a vague large idea floating around in my head and turn it into a focused research project. Thank you for helping me plant my feet on the ground so that we could create this project together. To my senior colleagues and friends at the Department of English, thank you for your encouragement. In particular, I say thank you to Dr. Richmond Sadick Ngula (my office mate), Dr. Isaac Nuokyaa-Ire Mwinlaaru and Mrs. Hannah Darko-Mintah for being there for me always. To the man I admire the most, Prof. Lawrence Owusu-Ansah, thank you for being a constant inspiration and motivator. To my dear friend, Dr. Emmanuel Saboro, thank you for always being a great friend and for walking alongside me through my journey | |
